‘Are You Prepared To Pay More For Road Tolls To Help Fix Roads Or You Want Them Scrapped To Ease Traffic?’ – Gabby Otchere-Darko Asks Ghanaians
The former director of the Dankwah Institute, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko has thrown a question at Ghanaians.
The question has to do with road tolls in Ghana and he asked this on his verified social media handle on the popular social media platform, Twitter.
The question he asked reads;
“Are you prepared to pay more (like double) for road tolls to help fix roads or you want them scrapped completely to ease traffic?”
Some Ghanaians have reacted to the post and here are some of the reactions we gathered;
@CAkodamKarbo – Willing to pay real rates so as far as those in charge hold their side of the bargain.
@D_hushie – I think increasing will do but when done we the consumers will suffer. When scrapped too the worker’s will also loose job. So I think the focus should be on other avenues, the mining sector is not bad.
@Nectarrule – Prepared to Pay more Yes…
If there’s the need to scrap some like the Kosoa toll to Ease Traffic then fine and find alternative way to get the Money to fix the Road.
@LawerFranklin – Serwaa Broni Budget is pregnant of New Taxes. The hardship is going to be worse but few people like uncle Gabby would enjoy.
@lexoo2020 – We need to digitize the collection of road tolls. Anything short of that is “more ado about nothing”
@kofi_kassano – Excepts of 2022 budget loading. First it was electricity tariff increase hint now road tolls. Bring out the rest errr?
